A seven-run third inning proved to be the difference Monday as Paris Junior College pulled away for a 13-0 victory over Eastern Oklahoma State College.
Paris Junior College broke through in the second inning when Grant Moore singled to bring home the game's first run. The Dragons then capitalized on free passes and defensive miscues in the third, plating seven runs on just two hits. Micheal Clarkson drew a bases-loaded walk, Nadav Machlin and Moore were each hit by pitches with the bases full, and a pair of errors allowed four additional runs to cross the plate.
Jordan Coronado earned the win for Paris Junior College, delivering a dominant five-inning performance. The right-hander allowed four hits, struck out eight, and did not issue a walk.
Caleb Rey took the loss for Eastern Oklahoma State College. The right-hander worked 2.2 innings, allowing seven runs—four earned—on two hits while striking out two and walking four.
Eastern Oklahoma State College scattered five hits in the contest, with Sean Raucher, Cole Edmondson, Luke Altom, JM Long, and Gamble Bye each recording one. The Mountaineers also turned one double play defensively.

Paris Junior College drew 10 walks, with Erick Thompson, Clarkson, and Ethan Espiricueta each earning two free passes.
Paris Junior College's disciplined approach and big third inning created separation early, and strong pitching carried them the rest of the way.
