Mountaineers Take Down Oklahoma Wesleyan JV in Run-Rule Fashion

Joe Victery drove in five runs on one hit to lead Eastern Oklahoma State College past Oklahoma Wesleyan JV 26-3 on Wednesday afternoon. Victery hit a grand slam to center field in the seventh inning, scoring four runs, and walked in the seventh inning, scoring one. JM Long also tallied 5 RBI with a double and a triple.
Eastern tallied 19 hits in the game. Luke Altom, the number nine hitter, led the team with four hits in four at bats. Dollar and Gamble Bye each collected multiple hits for the Mountaineers. Matthews-Boudreaux led Eastern Oklahoma State College with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying 11 walks for the game. The offense also stole four bases in the game.
Eastern Oklahoma State College will travel to Rose State to open up conference play on Thursday afternoon.
