Eastern Holds on for Victory at Connors State

Despite seeing its four-run lead whittled down by the end, Eastern Oklahoma State College held off Connors State College for a 4-3 victory on Thursday. Connors State scored three runs in the failed comeback attempt on a home run by Castle and a home run by Aldridge.

Eastern earned the victory despite allowing Connors State to score three runs in the sixth inning.

Eastern got things moving in the first inning when Summer Perkins's sac fly scored one run.

Kally Henson led things off on the rubber for the Lady Mountaineers. She surrendered three runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out four.

Eastern totaled 13 hits in the game. Kaitlyn Smith, Cailee Hendrick and Perkins each collected multiple hits for the Lady Mountaineers. Smith led Eastern with three hits in four at-bats.
