Marlee Whitling earns NJCAA Region 2 Pitcher of the Week honors

Eastern Oklahoma State College freshman Marlee Whitling has earned her first Pitcher of the Week award for the season. She was named the NJCAA Region 2 Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 22-28, 2021. She is the first Eastern softball player to earn the distinction so far this season.

Whitling is a right-handed pitcher from Weatherford, Texas. In two appearances, Whitling has pitched 10 innings with 10 strikeouts and a 0.70 earned-run average. She has only allowed 10 hits and 2 runs, while only giving up 5 walks so far this season.
