Alanna Williams Earns NJCAA Region 2 Player of the Week Honors

Eastern Oklahoma State College guard Alanna Williams has earned her first Player of the Week award for the season. She was named the NJCAA Region 2 Player of the Week for Week 5. This marks the first time an Eastern women's basketball player has earned the distinction so far this season.

Williams is a sophomore from Hartshorne, Okla. She is currently averaging 15.9 points per game while shooting 47.6 percent from the field and 30.5 percent from beyond the arc through 11 games. Williams is also shooting 72.4 percent from the free-throw line so far this season.

In Week 5, Williams averaged 20 points per agme, 6 rebounds per game, 3.7 steals per game and 2.7 assists per game.
